Indhold: |
A relatively small battery of measurements is routinely used to form a clinical picture of a person’s hearing status. However, advanced diagnostic methods and the choice of appropriate rehabilitative strategies can involve recourse to more esoteric measurements. This course will cover the principles behind routine and esoteric measures and their clinical application. These include speech audiometry, electrophysiology, hearing aid verification and validation measures, otoacoustic emissions and nystagmography. Focus will be given to the integration of results from different measurement classes, hands-on exercises and case studies. Some degree of replication from other courses can be expected, but this will promote a thorough understanding of often complicated material. |
