Indhold: A relatively small battery of measurements is routinely used to form a clinical picture of a person’s hearing status. However, advanced diagnostic methods and the choice of appropriate rehabilitative strategies can involve recourse to more esoteric measurements. This course will cover the principles behind routine and esoteric measures. Focus will be given to the integration of results from different measurement classes, two hands-on activities and case studies. Some degree of replication from other courses can be expected, but this will promote a thorough understanding of often complicated material. After following this course of study you will be familiar with a standard battery of audiometric tests and the principles that underlie them. You will be able to interpret results from pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex measurement, speech audiometry and electrophysiology. You will also be able to meaningfully integrate the results from these measurements with each other.
Eksamensform: Assessment is in the form of a written assignment [fri].
