Formål: The aim of the course is to refresh and extend the students knowledge on anatomy and physiology. The anatomy section of the course covers histology, following which the student should be able to explain the structure and function of different types of tissue, using microscopy to describe cell types and cellular structures, and human anatomy, including the description of organs, and embryology, which describes the dynamic development of the structures of the body, and developmental defects. The course also aims to provide students a number of basic prerequisites in human system physiology, which they will need in order to acquire knowledge in a range of the disciplines of the subject, particularly pathophysiology and pharmacology.
