Samlet oversigt over tid og sted for alle kurser inden for Lektionsplan for Det Humanistiske Fakultet Efterår 2012 Hum
Indhold: There has been an increasing ethnological focus on the cultural aspects of health and illness. While a medical approach to health and illness has been argued to represent an attempt to reduce human life to cells, organisms and bodies, an ethnological approach to health and illness calls attention to how people manage health, illness, and aging in their everyday life; how they experience and perceive their bodies, and how it challenges different notions of the good life. This course aims at providing the students with insights and knowledge about the ethnological and humanistic contributions to the field of health and illness, based on the current research of the lecturers. The course is divided into four themes, beginning with a block on how humanists deal with health and illness theoretically, moving on to three blocks in which we will present the latest ethnological and cultural research on the subject areas.
Eksamensform: Aktuel kulturforskning (Etnologi): Mundtlig prøve med synopsis, bedømmes gradueret, intern censur.
Specialization (MACA): Free written paper, 7-point scale, external examiner appointed by the Ministry.
