| Formål: |
The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the effects of globalization on health and health systems internationally as well as in Denmark. We will touch upon topics such as development aid, economics, global actors and health policies, communicable and non-communicable diseases, migration, brain-drain, violent conflict, refugees, human rights, poverty and access to health care. Classes will be a mix of lectures, case-studies and group work done by the students.
The course is relevant to medical students, public health science students as well as others working within and with health and health systems. |
| Indhold: |
This two-week full time diploma course is accredited 4 ECTS and approved as VKO for medical students at University of Copenhagen. The course is taught in English.
One or more social arrangements in the afternoon or evening depending on the course-participants interest and initiative.
There is no exam but attendance of at least 80 percent is required in order to get the certificate.
There will be attendance control twice a day during the course. |
