Samlet oversigt over tid og sted for alle kurser inden for Lektionsplan for Det Naturvidenskabelige Fakultet Forår 2013 NAT
Undervisnings- form: First day, one hour introductory lecture after which we start discussing the papers. Each week we have two classes of two hours each. Four to six articles are discussed each week. In the penultimate week each participant writes an essay and there are no class. The topic of the essay is to suggest and argue for a new worthwhile experiment within bacterial pathogenesis. The essays are then distributed anonymously among the students. Last class each student gives a small lecture about the essay he/she wrote followed by a discussion by students, teacher and censor.
Målbeskrivelse: The course should enable the participants to be able to read and critically evaluate papers in this field and be able to describe realistic experiments that are likely to provide new knowledge about bacterial pathogenicity.
Tilmelding: Registration via KUnet
Faglige forudsætninger: The participants must have a bachelor's degree containing courses in introductory and advanced molecular biology (Bachelors degrees in Molecular biomedicine, Biochemistry or Biology from the Science faculty, University of Copenhagen or equivalent degrees from other universities).
Eksamensform: To register for the exam the participants must be active during class. This means that each participant should be well prepared and able to describe and evaluate the experiments in the articles being discussed. The teacher will randomly select participants to describe and discuss a part of an article. In addition, the participants should try to formulate and answer relevant questions.
The participant may not register for the exam if deficient in a total of three counts of the following:
  • The participants have been absent more than 3 times
  • The participant has refused to discuss a part of an article
  • This presentation is unacceptable due to lack of preparation.

Exam: Each participant must write an essay where new experiments are described that will provide new and important knowledge about a pathogen being discussed during class (Size, no more than 16000 characters inclusive spaces).
The grade is given as pass/non-pass. Internal censorship.
Reexam: There will be no other reexam as to follow the course again.
  • Eksamen: Aflevering af essay d. 3. april 2013.
    Reeksamen: Fornyet deltagelse i kurset.
