Indhold: This course will use a lecture and discussion format to present an introduction to the geographical and historical landscape of past and present Southeast Asia. With this background, the themes of the region’s early history, colonial period and era of independence will be considered. The goals of the course are to help students become aware of this region and in particular to gain an appreciation for its great diversity.
