Geochemistry, water‐rock interactions during groundwater flow, stable isotopes in hydrology and geochemistry, groundwater quality, diffuse sources of contamination, geochemical modelling. |
| Kompetence- beskrivelse: |
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - comprehend scientific literature on groundwater geochemistry and its use in hydrogeology
- demonstrate an advanced knowledge of groundwater geochemistry
- demonstrate understanding of geochemical modelling
- combine the use of physical and geochemical tracers to solve relevant hydrogeological and groundwater quality problems
- write a scientific report on groundwater quality problems and the use of quantitative geochemistry

| Eksamensform: |
Oral examination (written report and curriculum) without preparation time. Form of assessment: The examination is graded according to the 7-point grading scale. Grading: internal examiner. Scope: The examination takes 20 minutes, inclusive grading. Make-up exam: As ordinary exam. |
| Eksamen: |
The report must be submitted on the 15th of January 2013 at 11am in three copies in room 04.1.411 and the oral examination is between the 23th-24th of January 2013.
Reexam: The report must be submitted on the 15th of April 2013 at 11am in three copies in room 04.1.411 and the oral examination is on the 17th of April 2013. |
