| Indhold: |
The participants should be able to write an acceptable
scientific text in English and should be able to write a popular account of
a scientific project in Danish at a level suited for publication in a
newspaper or magazine. Furthermore a good working knowledge of electronic
literature search methods and a professional handling of the retrieved data
should be demonstrated. Planning and performing a lecture for a scientific
audience will be part of the training. The participants should be capable of
planning a project in detail and demonstrate this ability in a written report. The participants will write a scientific paper in the style of a leading peer-reviewed journal.

The course adresses higher-level aspects of communication (both written and oral) as required by a Masters student. Specifically:
How to gave a technical scientific presentation
How to plan a research project
How to prepare a grant application
How to structure a paper
How to prepare effective scientific graphics
How to write a scientific paper |

En bachelorgrad i kemi eller tilsvarende

| Eksamensform: |
Four written assignments and an oral exam. Graded according to the 7-point grading scale with internal censorship.
Re-exam will be by resubmission of the final written assignment and an oral exam.

Mundtlig eksamen den 7. november 2012.
Reeksamen: Genindlevering af den sidste opgave den 28. januar samt mundtlig eksamen den 30. januar 2013.

Kurset er obligatorisk for kemikere før starten på
specialestudiet. kandidatstuderende på de kemiske fag har fortrinsret til kurset. Er der færre end 30 tilmeldte kan andre studerende (inkl. Ph.D.-studerende) få plads uder forudsætning af en forhåndsgodkendelse. |
